The August 14th Incident occurred on August 14, 2022, when the user FactionsSaimen faked his own death. Saimen had sent a number of strange and ominous messages in DMs the day prior, and then refused to respond to any further messages or calls. He would subsequently join the PLA Discord server under an alternate account, and claim that he was found dead in his home, having died by suicide. He would then eventually reveal that he was in fact alive, however the damage was already done and the server collapsed in players by the end of the week, and was subsequently shut down about two months later.
